One day before - You will be sent a link to a form to fill out and submit. This takes your contact details, a background on current and past conditions / injuries, and the reason for your visit. This information is important for your safety and to provide you with the most effective massage.
You will also receive instructions on where to go when entering the property
On the day - You will need to add an extra 10-15 minutes to your schedule. This allows time to go through the submitted form and possibly some clinical tests depending on your needs and reason for visiting. A treatment plan will be devised.
You will be left alone in the room while you change and lie on the massage table, covering yourself with a large towel. The massage will be carried out within your comfort levels. Minimal chat is undertaken during the massage allowing the client to relax and the therapist to concentrate her efforts on delivering a great massage!
Following the treatment the tests carried out prior to the massage may be repeated to see whether there has been any change, and exercises/activities/stretches may be suggested to be carried out at home to help facilitate the soft tissue changes made during the massage and to help with pain management.
There will also be occasions where advice is given to visit another health professional, either because your condition is outside the therapist's scope of practice, or further treatment can complement the massage.
A one hour treatment involves a FULL 60 minutes on the table. Likewise for 90, and 30 minute options. These times do not need to be strictly adhered too - we can alter it depending on your needs.
Subsequent visits will still involve discussion and testing, however your full health history will not need to be repeated, unless you suffer a new injury or develop a health condition.
